About Me
Skills
15+ years experience
I began teaching myself HTML in 2000. In 2015, I stepped away to focus on my writing. In 2020, I began to study front end development in earnest at Purdue University Global. HTML5 has made many excellent changes, and I've enjoyed learning it.
15+ years experience
My journey with CSS began a few years after HTML, around 2003. This is when my love affair with making web pages look pretty started. Coming back to coding after my hiatus, I discovered SCSS. I look forward to learning more about Sassy CSS.
10+ years experience
JavaScript is so much fun! I was introduced to it around 2005. I learned by editing another's code to make hidden picture games. Through Angular, I've also used TypeScript.
15+ years experience
Corel's Paintshop Pro is a wonderful alternative to Photoshop. I've been using PSP for over fifteen years to make or edit images such as avatars, backgrounds, logos, book covers, and more.
2+ years experience
I was introduced to Git in 2020. Since then, I've used GitHub and GitLab repositories. Version control for code management has been an invaluable tool!
1 year experience
I've enjoyed learning Bootstrap this past year. In fact, this very section is built using Bootstrap's cards! It makes coding so much easier and faster.
